It’s all in a day – and so be it! In trying to prepare for the much-anticipated trip to MX – I decide a nice hair cut, free and clear from ‘fixing’ is a good thing – especially ‘poolside’…… I find a way to get a coupon - (ALWAYS a good thing!) at Supercuts. Just go to their website, register, and in about 2 nano-seconds you get a $2 off coupon emailed to you. So I’m feeling all cozy in my ‘saver mode’, and I go get my hair cut. All seems fine during and after. It’s the day after, when I am fixing it – that I notice – major lopsided issues – that are WAY obvious. The shorter you cut you hair – the harder it is to maintain by the way! but what else to do with thicker, ‘aging’ hair I ask you?? People with straight hair have it SO made! They can grow it long, pull it back and be done. no matter what their age! But I digress…… back to mop on head. Anyways, In a sheer panic, I called my trusty hair guy – who is pretty good overall – not nearly as good as my girlfriend - but she is 5 hours away – so I’m thinking the evening after work hair cut wont work for either her or I …….. (Digressing again – I’m aware – but I’m STRESSED!) So, Hair cut guy is expensive (why I went for other salon in 1st place). $37 to be exact. I explain to him the bad hair cut story – LIKE I had to – the mop head was pretty obvious. So he goes thru and does his very best to even, fix and organize. all the while I am saying – “No, not enough on this side” …… Well people- NOW its too much on the side I thought was too long ! : < so – im up to like 2 inches of hair OFF the head! SO not the original intent. But at least hair cut guy was kind enough to tell me I had 2 weeks to come back in if the cut didn’t work. so – i call – today – to get in with him – and we are on for tomorrow….
I’m thinking that $2 coupon cost me $37 in a haircut and $5-8 in gas… And I haven’t put a cost on the stress level yet …… Guess as long as I don’t need a Dr for it – I can call it a wash! Oh, and maybe the Military will want me as a poster child after haircut # 3…… more on this I am sure ……
